Our Origin
File Summit Core began in 2019 when founder Hyun-soo Kim noticed a pattern among colleagues in Ulsan’s shipbuilding sector: many had purchased hardware wallets during market rallies but never completed setup, leaving devices in desk drawers for months. Kim, who had spent years managing personal cold storage, started offering informal lunch-hour reviews that grew into structured sessions.
By 2021, demand from expatriates and English-speaking residents led us to formalize our practice and expand our Jung-gu office. We remain a small team focused exclusively on education — we do not manage assets, operate exchanges, or sell hardware.
Our Approach
We believe self-custody education works best in person, on paper, without screens recording sensitive information. Every session follows a written protocol developed from hundreds of beginner interactions. We explain concepts using physical props — steel backup plates, sample recovery sheets, and printed address verification checklists.
Our practitioners hold Certified Bitcoin Professional (CBP) credentials and complete annual continuing education on wallet firmware changes and emerging social-engineering tactics.
The Team
Hyun-soo Kim — Founder and lead practitioner. Former systems analyst with twelve years of personal cold storage experience. Specializes in beginner onboarding and family access planning.
Elena Vasquez — Senior practitioner. Joined in 2022 to lead English-language sessions for Ulsan’s international community. Background in financial literacy education.
Jae-won Park — Session coordinator. Manages scheduling, pre-session materials, and follow-up correspondence.
